BHS Corrugated receives TOP 100 seal

BHS Corrugated has been included in the 29th edition of the ‘TOP 100’ competition for German mid-tier companies and has received the ‘TOP 100’ seal 2022.

Only mid-tier companies with significant innovation contributions qualify to receive this award. On 24 June 2022, BHS Corrugated will be presented with their seal by the science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar, who is mentor of the competition.

Central to the innovation competition is a scientifically based selection process which the participants must go through. On behalf of Compamedia, the organiser of the competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team have evaluated BHS Corrugated on the basis of more than 100 innovation indicators, classified under the five headings:

  • Innovation promoting top management;
  • Innovation climate;
  • Innovative processes and organisation;
  • External orientation/open innovation;
  • Innovation success.

In principle, the top 100 analysis mostly deals with the question, “Are innovations of a company a product of chance or are they planned systematically and repeatable in the future?” Special emphasis is placed on the question based on if and how new product launches and improvements establish themselves in the market.

Christian Engel, spokesman for the board of BHS Corrugated, said, “It is a great honour for us to be included in the ‘TOP 100’ for a second time. With our products, Lifecycle Services and Digital Solutions we want to enable our customers to set new standards in the fields of competitiveness and performance. We see the award for being a top innovator as confirmation of the innovation success of our company. On behalf of the BHS Corrugated managing board, I want to thank every person who has contributed to reaching this outstanding success.”

436 mid-tier companies have applied to become part of the “TOP 100” 2022. To give equal opportunities to all applicants, the seal will be awarded to three different size categories: 50, 51 – 200, more than 200 employees. Prof.Dr. Nikolaus Franke explains, “We have analysed how much the companies are focused on innovation and how consequently they pursue this target. The seal is rewarded to the most innovative mid-tier companies. It shows that they are well prepared for the challenges of the future.”
