Being good neighbours in Bitterfeld-Wolfen-Gräfenhainichen

At the end of May, Progroup invited local residents and employees to an open day at its PM3 paper factory in Sandersdorf-Brehna. The company then doubled the proceeds raised from food and drinks at the event and donated this amount to Bitterfeld-Wolfen-Gräfenhainichen Social Welfare Association.

“The open day was a resounding success. Around 3,000 visitors took up our invitation. We were thrilled at the support for the local associations and the great interest shown in our paper factory,” says Phillipos Vrizas, manager of the Sandersdorf-Brehna site. “We are happy to give something back to the region with this donation.”

Vrizas and Kay Schäfer, PM3 dispatch manager, handed over to a cheque fro €14,200 to representatives of Bitterfeld-Wolfen-Gräfenhainichen Social Welfare Association. To raise this money, Progroup had doubled the proceeds from the sale of food and drinks at the event and donated this amount.

“This money will enable us to implement projects relating to media training and digitisation and procure the necessary hardware – this is a vital requirement for participating in working life, which is important to us,” adds Ulrike Petermann, Theological Director.
