Bay Cities, a U.S. sheet plant that specializes in innovative packaging and displays, has opened a new 90,628-sq-ft pack out facility in Commerce, California. The facility is in full operation and is already processing several programs. As a leading expert in pack out and fulfillment operations, this expansion signals continued growth for Bay Cities, according to Brett Kirkpatrick, COO of Bay Cities.
The Commerce facility has 16 loading docks and offers around-the-clock security. The services provided include: pallet display pack out; full POP display pack out, kitting, rework, labeling, sorting and bundling; blister, cold seal, heat and IR sealing; assembly for products, packaging and displays.
The Commerce facility will be certified and licensed for AIB (American Institute of Baking), ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control), FDA (Federal Drug Administration), California Department of Public Health – Certified Organic, Processed Food, Pharmaceutical Wholesale Drug Permit and USDA Organic.
With the addition of the Commerce facility, Bay Cities’ facilities now consist of 650,000 square feet of combined space, over 96 loading docks and over 20 production lines. “This brand-new facility in Commerce, just minutes away from our Pico Rivera headquarters, will ensure efficiency and add to our outstanding ability to execute and deliver high-volume programs throughout the Southern California region. Technologically-advanced capabilities ensure speed and accuracy in our expanding pack out and fulfillment facilities,” said Kirkpatrick.
