BAHMÜLLER discussed future perspectives with ‘Sheetplant 2035’

As part of the professionals academy, BAHMÜLLER recently welcomed high-ranking visitors from well-known German corrugated converting manufacturers.

Nine German sheet plants were represented by their owners, plant or factory managers. The visitors were impressed by the variety and range of the product and concept program of the Swabian manufacturer of converting machines.

Firstly, Ulrich Wolz (COO Corrugated Board Machines) presented the history of the company from its foundation to the present day and briefly introduced the various company divisions. Oliver Weinmann (Senior Sales Manager) introduced the product range and the company’s latest developments before Michael Donnert (Senior Sales Manager) gave a personal review of the development of sheet plants in Germany over the last 30 years leading into his presentation ‘Sheetplant 2035’, outlining some possible scenarios for future developments over the next 10 years.

Michael Holtmann (CEO) gave a tour of the plant, focussing in particular on the company’s divisions that are not associated with corrugated board converting (precision grinding, precision tools and automation systems). This gave the visitors an excellent impression of the high-tech production of machines and applications from BAHMÜLLER that are not directly related to the corrugated converting industry.

Afterwards there was a ‘walk-through’ the Demo machines in the assembly hall: the TURBOX specialty folder gluer with ‘UNIQUE TURN’ module for e-commerce box applications and the latest POWERPACKER generation, as well as the semi-automatic sealing machine MULTI-SEALING-CHAMPION MDL 25/45 and a short production run on both machines. The day was rounded off by a tour of the folding system for the BGM Containerline CL 20/55.
