Leading Spanish corrugated packaging producer, Cartonajes Santorromán, continue to invest in improving logistics efficiency. The company have just launched five new autonomous AGV vehicles, supplied by the Polish company Retnig, which will improve the transport time between the palletising and strapping area through to the finished goods warehouse.
The company says that in addition to the significant reduction in times – which can be invested in other tasks such as loading and unloading trucks – these vehicles (with Wi-Fi guidance) will provide greater safety for operators and pedestrians, by eliminating the traffic of the trucks.
