ASC Direct continue machinery investments

Paul Herson, Sales Manager of GTS (Europe) Ltd, has confirmed the company recently installed two new machines at ASC Direct, the corrugated converter based in Shipley, Yorkshire. The machines include a GTS BoxStar short run boxmaker and a small hand fed gluer. These two latest machines follow hot on the heels of the supply of a third Solarco short run boxmaker, which was installed in September this year.

“The GTS BoxStar is an easy to set machine and is perfect for someone starting off making boxes or wanting to run smaller production runs,” explains Paul Herson. “Using stock board, there is now no longer the need to cut sheets to size first. From simple lids to 0415 style boxes with hand holes, this machine really is a great start off or addition for your short run box making requirements.”

Describing the new GTS hand fed gluer, Paul Herson adds, “This simple hand fed, hot melt gluer lays adhesive onto corrugated sheets of any thicknesses from 0.7 to 14mm and is able to lay a width of glue from 10mm to 150mm. It is easy to use and simple to install and is a great addition to any company that has requirements for short run box production.”

“From the initial enquiry and the understanding of the requirements needed for our production hall, through to the commissioning of the new machinery, Paul and the GTS team have shown true professionalism, offering expert advice throughout the whole process,” says Andrew Woodhead, Managing Director, ASC Direct. “We are very pleased with the new installations and are looking forward to working together on future projects.”
