Apprenticeships investment continues at MM Packaging as it targets new intake of candidates

MM Packaging Deeside is on the lookout for fresh talent with apprenticeship opportunities open across the firm including engineering, finance, operations and estimating. The business is seeking a number of new apprentices to join its established scheme, offering hands-on experience, structured learning and a clear pathway into a long-term career.

The apprenticeship programme combines practical workplace experience with formal learning, enabling participants to gain recognised qualifications while developing valuable skills alongside experienced colleagues. Designed to support long-term career development, the programme provides apprentices with the knowledge, confidence and experience needed to succeed in their chosen field.

Charlie Thomas is just one of the successful apprentices to have joined MM Deeside recently.

Supported by the BPIF, MM Packaging’s three-year manufacturing apprenticeship programme provides a pathway to a nationally recognised Level 3 NVQ qualification. Alongside practical, hands-on experience, apprentices complete First Aid, Fire Marshal and IOSH Managing Safely training, helping them build a strong foundation for a long-term career within the manufacturing industry.

The business has already seen impressive results from its investment in apprenticeships, with nine recent apprentices being offered ongoing employment and the opportunity to continue developing their careers within the company upon completion of their training.

David Whitworth, Managing Director, MM Packaging Deeside, said, “Some of the most talented people in our business started their careers as apprentices, so we know first-hand the impact the programme can have.”
