Hamburger Rieger GmbH, has applied with local authorities to iunstall a second paper machine at its Spremberg location in Germany. The new, state of the art 7.8m paper machine will have an annual production of 493,000 tonnes of containerboard. The €370 million investment will create 200 new jobs, says the company. Hamburger Rieger GmbH, with its three German paper mills in Spremberg, Gelsenkirchen and Trostberg is part of the Hamburger Containerboard Division with a total of seven paper mills and 1.9 million tonnes of containerboard production per year.
