Amcor inaugurates new cheese foil production line

Amcor has completed a multimillion Euro investment in a new production line for cheese foil packaging in France.

The line, located at the company’s site in Froges, Southeast France, is now Amcor’s fastest cheese foil lacquering line.

The Froges site employs approximately 125 people and specialises in varnishes and thin aluminum foil lacquering for packaging that primarily serves the cheese market. Froges is one of Amcor’s three key European production sites for processing cheese foil, alongside Sarrebourg (France) and Teningen (Germany).

Jim Davril, Plant General Manager, Amcor Froges, said, “The opening of this new line is an important milestone for Amcor Froges.

“While it represents a significant investment in our operations, it is equally an investment in the people whose expertise and commitment have shaped the site’s success over many years.

“We are proud of what has been achieved here and confident in the role the site will continue to play for our customers, our employees and the region in the years ahead.”
