AICC, Board Converting News (BCN), and Corrugated Today have issued a Call for Entries in the 2019 Innovator of the Year Competition. This years’ category is Information & Technology.
The Innovator of the Year Competition will be held in conjunction with the AICC 2019 Annual Meeting, September 16-18, at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Developed over twenty years ago as a forum for box makers and suppliers to put forward their best innovations, the Innovator of the Year has since evolved into a highly competitive arena that showcases innovations AICC Members have developed.
Each year, the AICC Plant Innovations Committee holds a call for entries and after reviewing the submissions received from AICC members determines the finalist entries that are then voted on by Meeting attendees. Co-sponsored by AICC, Board Converting News, and Corrugated Today, the annual Innovator of the Year Competition provides an outlet for AICC members to showcase innovations they have developed to increase plant productivity, improve plant efficiency, and overall, serve as a solution to a specific production or management problem.
This years’ competition is open to AICC’s General (boxmaker) and Associate (supplier) Members. The Information & Technology category focuses on innovations in the information technologies and/or training fields that benefit the paperboard packaging industry through enhanced efficiency, quality, productivity, and customer service or innovations that enhance the knowledge and skill levels and/or safety of members of the paperboard packaging community. Examples include innovative software, artificial intelligence, systems and programs, unique uses of off the shelf applications, educational programs and materials.
