Agergaard tackles coating system inefficiencies in folding cartons at Labelexpo

For folding carton printers, leakage in inline coating units remains one of the most persistent and costly challenges: varnish that seeps into the press not only causes downtime and contamination but represents direct material loss — and significant cleaning effort. At Labelexpo Europe 2025, the Agergaard Group will present a solution that directly addresses this issue: fully integrated plug-&-play chamber doctor blade systems, designed to optimize coating performance while minimising maintenance.

These compact chamber systems are tailored for inline flexo coating units in sheet-fed offset presses and are engineered to eliminate leakage. Their all-in-one design ensures that only minimal varnish remains in the chamber after draining, significantly reducing cleaning time and solvent use. Optimized blade angles prevent back-doctoring and allow for low blade pressure, reducing wear on doctor blades, seals, and the anilox roller — ultimately extending setup intervals and improving press uptime.

These features make the chamber systems a strong fit for cost-sensitive production environments seeking higher reliability and reduced handling effort.

In addition to the chamber systems, the company will also showcase tailored consumables — including long-life end seals and doctor blades — as well as energy-efficient peristaltic pump systems for balanced coating supply.

Visitors can explore the full range of solutions and speak with Agergaard experts at Stand L62.
