The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released its Q3 2021 Boxboard Monthly report.
Total Boxboard production in Q3 increased 6% compared to Q3 2020. It was up 2% when compared to the same nine months of 2020. The boxboard operating rate was 95.0%, up 3.6 points from Q3 2020 and up 1.4 points year-to-date.
- Solid Bleached Boxboard production in Q3 increased 10% compared to Q3 2020. It was up 1% when compared to the same nine months of 2020.
- Recycled Boxboard production in Q3 increased 1% compared to Q3 2020. It was down 1% when compared to the same nine months of 2020.
- Unbleached Kraft & Gypsum production in Q3 increased 5% compared to Q3 2020. It was up 5% when compared to the same nine months of 2020.
