The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) has released the Q1 2026 Boxboard Quarterly report.
Total Boxboard production in Q1 decreased 2% compared to Q1 2025. The boxboard operating rate was 85.7%, down 1.5 points from the same quarter last year.
- Solid Bleached Boxboard production in Q1 remained essentially flat compared to Q1 2025.
- Unbleached Kraft & Coated Recycled Boxboard unmade orders were up 27% compared to the end of the previous quarter and increased 5% compared to March 2025.
- Uncoated Recycled Boxboard operating rate was 92%, up 1.5 points from the same quarter last year.
