The American Forest & Paper Association has released its July 2021 Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Monthly report.
Total packaging papers & specialty packaging shipments in July decreased 1% compared to July 2020. They were up 2% when compared to the same seven months of 2020.
- The operating rate was 84.2%, down 1.5 points from July 2020 and up 4.0 points year-to-date.
- Mill inventories at the end of July increased 8,000 short tons from the previous month and were essentially flat (+672 short tons) compared to July 2020.
