The Italian paper, packaging and recycling company, Relife Group, has expanded its business further, following two significant acquisitions last month.
ReLife Group has signed, through Relife Paper Packaging Srl, an agreement to acquire Scatolificio De.le.S SpA, and its subsidiary Ondulati Menegazzi (for a total of two factories in Origgio and Nerviano, approximately 130 employees, an annual production of 86m sqm).
The company has also completed the acquisition of corrugated packaging producer, None-based SGI Spa.
In a report online, it is suggested that the production capacity of Relife Paper Packaging will reach almost 315m sqm of corrugated board and packaging next year.
“In recent years, the Group has completed important acquisitions which have allowed us not only to grow and expand our services, but also to guarantee the circularity of waste which becomes a resource for people, customers and the community,” said Domenico Marco Benfante, CEO, ReLife Group. “The ReLife Paper Packaging division already uses cardboard from recycled paper for 80% of its production, also supplied by the ReLife Recycling division. The acquisition of De.Le.S and SGI are in line with the wishes of our customers, who are increasingly seeking product circularity as a distinctive factor, not only for ESG purposes. Our M&A strategy increasingly aims at maximising synergies, with a strong vocation for sustainability, consolidated in the territory and with an innovative approach.”
