Accurate™ Top Natural

Warren, the UK carton and graphical board stockist, has confirmed that it is to distribute Accurate™ Top Natural, Mayr-Melnhof Karton‘s natural rustic looking Folding Boxboard (FBB) product, which is tailor-made for both natural and vegan food packaging products. As demand grew for a more natural and rustic looking packaging; so did the decisions made by brand owners and printers to print on the reverse side of products. This option met demands to a degree but challenges such as irregular print results persisted in some cases. With this in mind Mayr-Melnhof Karton developed a matt top-side folding box board with a pleasantly tactile roughness. Described as ‘having an optical and sensory USP which plays a decisive role in any successful packaging’, Accurate Top Natural is based on the standard quality Accurate and was developed specifically after numerous requests from customers.

Aimed at converters and brand owners, Accurate Top Natural is suitable for direct food contact on both the top and reverse side, making it perfect for applications in this sector. Available with a freeze treatment application, the product is considered to be an ideal natural packaging solution for chilled and frozen foods. The coating enables fast ink absorption allowing for more sheets per hour to be printed with the potential for cost savings in terms of printing ink. The special surface preparation means there is no printing ink set-off, thereby providing perfect print image reproduction.

Commenting on the addition of Accurate Top Natural to its FBB product ranges, Warren External Sales Manager UK & Ireland, Phil Northam stated, “Accurate Top Natural will be an excellent addition to an ever growing and evolving portfolio. Consistency of product is always high on the requirement list from our customers. Accurate Top Natural is fully guaranteed for printing which gives our customers the confidence to produce a more rustic, natural looking carton without incurring slower press times and additional ink usage.”
