ABB has been awarded the Platinum medal from EcoVadis with a score of 84 out of a possible 100 points, placing the company among the top one percent of 130,000 companies assessed worldwide. ABB improved its score by nine points since last year.
“EcoVadis ratings matter because they enable companies to make informed decisions about their suppliers, reducing risk, driving improvements and accelerating impact. Being awarded a Platinum medal is testament to our transparency and progress in sustainability,” said ABB’s Group Head of Sustainability, Anke Hampel. “We have the greatest sustainability impact by helping our customers reduce their emissions, which account for 97% of our value chain footprint. We also use EcoVadis scores during our supplier selection requiring a minimum score and continuous improvement which builds a more resilient business for the future.”
