40 years of innovation and business success for Rodicut

In a constantly evolving business world, staying at the top for forty years is a remarkable achievement. Today, with a sense of pride and gratitude, Rodicut Industry celebrate their 40th anniversary, a company that has made a significant mark as a consumables supplier to the corrugated industry and has set a standard of excellence throughout its remarkable journey.

On 17 November, 1983, the company was founded, commencing its operations in a workshop where a small team of people manually crafted rotary dies for the corrugated industry.

In 1987, the company took a bold step by initiating the production of polyurethane covers for die-cutting machines. Their competitive edge was a puzzle-shaped closing system and a flexible inner network to ease assembly and enhance the rotation process, supplying the industry in Spain and Portugal. The iconic Rodicut puzzle later became the company’s logo. In 1995, the company began exports to other European countries.

In September 1996, the company made a capital investment to expand its facilities to meet the growing demand generated by the international market. A strategic plan was developed outlining export growth in international markets. A few years later, in 1999, the company received the ‘Galicia Business Innovation Award’ granted by the Xunta de Galicia.

During the 2000s, the company made significant technological advancements in the knowledge and handling of polyurethane resins, allowing the development and launch of new product lines, such as the Orange 91 Shore range, targeting more demanding die-cutting applications, including banana and pineapple boxes. In the 2000, the company obtained the ISO 9001 certification, which has been renewed annually.

Simultaneously, a specific manufacturing unit was established for smaller and softer parts, like non-crush wheels, feeders, and other polyurethane spares. The results from this initial idea laboratory led to the creation of a productive division for special polyurethane parts in various industrial sectors, as the rock quarry industry and others.

In 2010, the company underwent a transformative phase with the arrival of Philippe Ramirez as President, a visionary entrepreneur with a passion for engineering and innovation, and a clear goal of financially consolidating Rodicut, expanding the presence in the global market, diversifying product lines, launching new developments and with a strong commitment to sustainable growth. His ambition and determination were focused on a broader and more versatile horizon, opening up opportunities and transforming Rodicut into a leader in the global market.

Since 2010, Rodicut has continued to celebrate milestones, achieve remarkable feats, and, most importantly, build lasting relationships with customers, partners, and employees. These bonds have been the cornerstone of our success and are a testament to the trust and loyalty they have earned over the years. Thanks to this remarkable business journey, Rodicut has received various awards from Ardan/Zona Franca de Vigo, including titles such as ‘High-Performing Company’, ‘Well-Managed Company’, ‘Global Company’, ‘Gender-Equal Company’ and ‘Wealth-Generating Company’.

Today, EOS Corrugated Group operates from seven production plants in six countries, employing over 250 people. With a turnover exceeding €50m and active in 70 countries worldwide, its success is undeniable, and the future looks exciting.
