Esko Print Control Wizard software scoops prize
Following Flexographic Technical Assocation (FTA) and European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) technical innovation awards, Esko Print Control Wizard has again received recognition, scooping a 2019 InterTech Technology Award from Printing Industries of America.
Developed by Esko to respond to a call from the flexographic printing industry to simplify the implementation of screens and dot gain curves in the reprographics process, Print Control Wizard software offers the sector a standardised approach to screen and curve creation. Designed to improve the flexo plate making process and flexographic print quality via Crystal Screens, Print Control Wizard takes process parameters like ink, printing press, substrate and aniloxes into consideration for screen and curve creation. Print Control Wizard outputs a set of Crystal Screens and curves used for plate exposing on a CDI Crystal XPS, resulting in the most optimal flexo print quality.
Robert Bruce, RIP and Screening Product Manager, said, “We are deeply honored to receive this recognition for Print Control Wizard, which has been received so well by our customers and the industry. Printing Industries of America is renowned for its commitment to advancing the graphic arts industry so to be recognized for our efforts in developing our Print Control Wizard technology to boost flexo print quality and simplify the flexo platemaking process, makes our job worthwhile.”
