£15m investment for Cullen

Cullen has confirmed a £15m expansion plans for its UK based manufacturing site. The new state-of-the-art development will increase the company’s moulded fibre manufacturing capacity by 45%, supporting their domestic and export growth strategy.

David MacDonald, owner of Cullen, said, “Over the last five years our company has exponentially grown because of our ability to design and reliably deliver sustainable solutions for our customers globally. We have the experience, capacity and the scale to replace plastics for a variety of sectors right now, not in the future, now. The extensive investment we are making in our facility will allow us to meet the increasing demand for alternatives to plastic packaging.”

The infrastructure advancement will also include an onsite Innovation Centre. MacDonald continued, “Innovation isn’t new for Cullen; evolving our offering is central to our success. Our Innovation Centre will be the Cullen hub for designing new, innovative products to replace single-use plastics, creating solutions that meet customer and consumer expectations on being more planet friendly. All of this will further strengthen our position as a leading moulded fibre and corrugated packing supplier.”
