A century ago, in 1923, a new paper business emerged on the shores of the river Danube, near Budapest, on the island of Csepel. Today, this plant stands as one of three operated by Dunapack Packaging in Hungary.
The company says that throughout its history, the plant survived the stormy history of Central Europe and has witnessed the production of various types of paper and packaging materials. However, when the first machine came to life in 1924, it made corrugated board. “With innovation at our core, we look forward to the next 100 years still in Csepel and also our brand new factory at Dunavarsány using state of the art technology in order to implement the operation based on the circular economy even more efficiently,” said the company in a promotional post via LinkedIn.
