Giovanni Bettini, Head of Sales, MHI EMEA and South America, has confirmed that the company has reached a significant milestone, following the sale of the 100th DSL (dual slotter) globally.
He said, “We are happy to have reached this important milestone of 100 DSL. We are also waiting for another order confirmation of an EVOL with DSL over the coming days, and have plenty of other enquiries for this application from customers around the world. Reaching the 100th sale proves that there is great interest and satisfaction from customers ustilising Mitsubishi’s DSL solution.
Adding a DSL unit to a standard EVOL configuration allows customers to effectively double the production up to 42,000 boxes per hour (700 boxes per min), while still producing to the highest box high quality. Mitsubishi also says that the DSL allows a converter to widen the range of boxes produced from very small boxes, normally produced on a miniline, right through to big boxes.
“Another important benefit of the DSL is it a truly sustainable solution in that it significantly reduces energy consumption compared to running multiple machines,” adds Bettini. “We are appreciative to have reached such an important milestone, and we send thanks our customers for their trust in Mitsubishi. With more orders coming in, we are happy to positively contribute to our customer’s plant output and also their sustainability targets with our DSL applications for the EVOL.”
