Alzamora Group has celebrated its 125th anniversary with a corporate event near Olot, the city where the company was founded in 1900. Under the motto “New Era”, the gathering brought together over 350 guests, including customers, suppliers, international partners, strategic allies and a large part of the team. Over two days, the company combined a journey through its history with the presentation of its forward-looking vision, driven by innovation, digitalisation and sustainability.
From printing workshop to international packaging player
Founded in 1900 as a small family-owned printing workshop, Alzamora Group has evolved into an leading provider of innovative and sustainable folding carton packaging, with a presence in more than 20 countries and strong recognition across the European market.
The group is made up of:
- Alzamora Packaging, headquarters in Olot (Spain).
- Novotipo Packaging, based in Lisbon (Portugal), incorporated in 2017.
- Offset Print & Packaging, based in Kent (UK), acquired in 2024.
Alzamora Group develops carton packaging for the food, beverage, cosmetics, perfumery, pharmaceutical and other sectors. The company holds leading international certifications in sustainability and quality, such as PEFC, FSC, BRCGS and ISO 9001. To date, it has received nine WorldStar Packaging Awards and 12 Pro Carton Awards, consolidating its position in the global packaging sector.
Two days of history and future vision
The anniversary was held in a natural setting surrounded by mountains, highlighting the company’s connection with sustainability and respect for the environment. Guests were able to enjoy a historical exhibition showcasing Alzamora’s journey in packaging, from its early beginnings to the latest innovations in design and production.
The event also highlighted the company’s vision for the future, shaped by process automation, energy efficiency, international expansion, and the incorporation of the fourth family generation: Patricia Berga (Regional Sales Manager), Ferran Berga (UK Managing Director) and Agnes Berga (Marketing Manager).
The evening concluded with a corporate dinner featuring speeches from co-CEOs Anna Alzamora and Josep Berga, who underlined the values that have guided the company for over a century: commitment, excellence and constant innovation.
“Today we are not only celebrating 125 years of history, but 125 years of dreams, shared effort and mutual trust,” said Anna Alzamora. “Our journey began in a small printing workshop in Olot, and today we are an international group. This achievement has been made possible thanks to the loyalty of our clients, the collaboration of our partners and, above all, the talent of our team.”
For his part, Berga looked to the future. He said, “We are entering a New Era, where tradition and innovation will go hand in hand. We want to continue progressing together with our customers and partners, building sustainable and competitive solutions that respond to the challenges of a constantly changing world.”
The second day was dedicated entirely to the company’s employees and former staff. This festive gathering brought together several generations in a warm and celebratory atmosphere. It was an opportunity to share anecdotes, memories and laughter, strengthening the team spirit that defines Alzamora Group. The management also reaffirmed its commitment to talent, professional development and continuous training – strategic pillars for growth and motivation in facing the challenges of the future.
A New Era of innovation and sustainability
Coinciding with the start of this “New Era”, the group has announced a strategic investment plan in cutting-edge technology throughout 2025. This commitment will strengthen production capacity, enhance energy efficiency and enable the launch of new, more sustainable, innovative and competitive carton packaging solutions.
