Now 17 years old, UK-based Paramount Waste Extraction Limited is going from strength to strength, with over 2,500 waste handling systems installed into printing, converting and packaging businesses, servicing the small ‘one machine’ operation through to large multinational companies around the world. After moving from Lancashire to West Sussex in 2002, Paramount’s main factory and office since 2009 is now located on the St Georges Industrial Estate, Camberley, Surrey, still retaining the Littlehampton, West Sussex premises as a store for their wide range of used machinery and equipment. Now in 2017, the Company has a very experienced manufacturing, contract and project management, CAD design, QA, and procurement team based in Camberley, with additional administrative staff, CAD designers, Project Managers and the Sales group all working from state of the art offices around the UK, all with high speed, fibre broadband networking connections providing fast communications and document and drawing transmissions between all teams. Drawings are sent directly to computer controlled production machines for many components ensuring interchangeability. Regional sales and service offices are in Southampton, High Wycombe, Northampton, Leicester and Bradford.
Offering complete turnkey advanced air waste and dust handling systems, the business has progressed year on year to a point where it has supplied equipment to virtually every major group in the UK, together with many high profile independent producers of print and packaging. They are enormously proud to be a regular supplier to such prestigious groups including Essentra Packaging Group; Saica Packaging Group; Multi Packaging Solutions; Wyndeham Magazine Printing Group; Stephens and George; Stephen Austin; Encore Envelopes; British Sugar (sugar bags); Huhtamaki (paper cups) and Chase Protective Coatings (neoprene strip waste). Export sales have grown steadily to a current level of 20 per cent of annual turnover with equipment and full installations now operating in France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Sweden, Nigeria, Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, India and USA.
The Paramount product range complements the precise needs of every dry waste extraction solutions matching the smallest requirements of a single extraction system right through to large multiple machine installations incorporating state of the art cutter/conveyor fans; rotary separators; patented low profile separators and rotary valves or balance fans together with specialised equipment. The company also offers air filtration and dust management systems providing shaking bag filter units for smaller requirements through to a complete range of CA reverse jet dust filtration machines with optional additions available to conserve factory heating energy by returning filtered air back inside the factory during the winter.
Paramount pride themselves on being able to supply turnkey solutions, or individual machines. They supply many companies not only with waste extraction systems but with ancillary equipment such as shredders, balers and compactors. Selecting the correct equipment is ‘paramount’ to getting a solution that works. Pictured at the lead of this feature is a new Balemaster horizontal baler recently supplied to one of the largest corrugated box producers in Europe. Not only did Paramount help specify the machine, but also sourced the best machine for the job, removed the old baler and upgraded and installed the electrical requirements. This upgrade was completed over a weekend with no impact on the production. Paramount can and have also supplied fully reconditioned balers, fully automatic and semi-automatic shredders and compactors.
