DYSS X9-1630C for India

Privately owned Indian packaging solutions provider, Neueco Packsolutions Pvt Ltd, has a manufacturing plant near Mumbai and a new flagship plant strategically located in the heart of the Chennai motor industry. Focusing on secondary packaging solutions for the export market and specialising in heavy duty corrugated up to AAA triplewall, the company intends to be one of the leaders in the country in this sector via a programme of investment in equipment and technology.

As part of its investment strategy, the company purchased a top-of-the-range DYSS X9-1630C heavy duty corrugated digital cutting machine. The new machine, installed and commissioned in September, produces high quality prototypes and samples in both conventional and heavy duty corrugated, as well allowing Neueco to process short runs.

The senior management team involved in the equipment purchase spearheaded by Executive Director and President, Mr R Balasubramanian, specifically chose the conveyorised version of the X9 cutting machine to allow for the future addition of an automatic sheet feeder which can then enable semi-automatic die-less production of lower volume orders.

More to follow

Mr Balasubramanian is already planning for another DYSS machine at the Silvassa factory and a further machine for production at the Chennai site. This is a key part of his plan to provide the highest level of service for the company’s customer base, a strategy that is already paying off. The X9 is now showcased during visits from existing and prospective customers and the capabilities of the machine and the level of investment made by Neueco have clearly impressed, with the company already seeing an uplift in new orders.

The Silvassa plant has an older KM cutting table which was supplied by AG/CAD many years ago and which  is still running effectively for prototyping. The long term, trouble-free performance of this machine convinced the company to invest in the new X9 machine. The quality, performance and special features of the X9, including its K-CUT Vision System, with a service package backed up by instant remote internet assistance have all lived up to and exceeded expectations.

The high speed of the X9 has impressed management, operators and customers alike and is already helping to crystalise Neueco’s longer term goal of a highly reactive, fast, effective short run production service, with a clear upgrade path to future automation.
