Royal Containers announced the acquisition of corrugated manufacturer Rexdale Container Corp. as part of a strategic move to support its continued growth in corrugated packaging.
Established in 1971, Rexdale Containers is an experienced manufacturer of custom corrugated packaging for gift items, food products, furniture, displays and automotive parts for both small and large international corporations within the Greater Toronto Area.
“Rexdale Container provides a hugely exciting opportunity for Royal Containers, enabling our customers to benefit from increased resources and shared knowledge,” said Kim Nelson, President of Royal Containers. “As a great addition to our existing corrugated packaging operations, the move enables us to increase capacity and geographic presence in the Southern Ontario market.”
The acquisition supports Royal Containers’ long-term plans for growth in new and existing markets. With over 250 staff members based in Brampton and London Ontario, Royal Containers brings a wealth of knowledge, unique capabilities and a leading reputation for service. This move also complements the shared vision and core values that both companies were firmly built on, Nelson said.
