Flint Group Packaging Solutions is to increase prices across its packaging inks and coatings portfolio in the US and Canada, effective 14 December, 2026.

Local sales representatives will contact customers to confirm the specific price increases applicable to the products they use.
Flint identified ‘sustained cost pressures’ in H2 2026, specifically energy and ocean freight costs, which remain high, while pigment costs have also increased significantly as Chinese safety initiatives drive capacity shortages for raw materials in Asia, particularly China.
Moreover, high crude oil prices are severely driving up the cost of essential petrochemical precursors, including solvents, resins, additives, and other related materials.
“Together, these pressures have increased the cost of manufacturing and supplying inks and coatings,” the company stated.
Nicki Kerrigan, Vice President Sales & Service, North America, Flint Group Packaging Solutions, said, “We recognise the impact that price adjustments have on our customers and have carefully considered this decision.
“We also understand the importance of clear communication on pricing. Our teams will provide details and key data points to support discussions with customers about the increase.”
To mitigate cost pressures and price increases, Flint Group Packaging Solutions is working to improve operational efficiency and is cooperating closely with suppliers to mitigate costs and maintain continuity of supply.
However, sustained cost pressures make these current increases necessary to maintain the quality, service and supply reliability our customers expect, the company stated.
UPDATE: Price adjustments have been confirmed for Europe, effective 1 January, 2027.
