Bakers has named Harry and Tom Baker as directors of the family-owned printing business, cementing the company’s long-term future under the leadership of the founder’s family.

The business was founded by Roy and Marian Baker in 1973. Their son, Steve, then took over the business and continues as Managing Director to this day. Steve’s sons, Harry and Tom, have worked in the business for a number of years and have now been given the titles of Commercial Director (Harry) and Operations Director (Tom) in honour of their commitment to growing the business in the long-term.
Steve Baker said, “We don’t really worry too much about titles in this place, but becoming directors makes a difference. It gives us more strength at that level and it’s important for keeping the company strong, keeping it family and keeping it independent.”
Alongside the trade printing business Baker Labels, BakPac serves the market with digitally printed flexible packaging, Baker Materials is an independent distributer of self-adhesive and non-self-adhesive label materials in the UK, and Sportstiks provides ID solutions to athletes.
