Dantex and Ricoh partner to drive digital label printing adoption in North America

Dantex Group and Ricoh USA have entered into a strategic relationship to increase the availability of Pico digital label presses in the US and Canada.

Under the agreement, Ricoh will offer the entire Dantex Pico lineup as part of its production print portfolio in the region. The agreement also builds on a longstanding technical relationship, whereby Dantex has incorporated Ricoh inkjet technology into its purpose-built digital label platforms for many years.

This new development in the relationship between the two suppliers is aimed at ‘significantly increasing’ Dantex’s reach in North America while enabling Ricoh to broaden its offering with scalable label printing technology.

Dantex CEO Ben Danon (pictured, third from left) said, “This partnership represents a significant milestone in Dantex’s growth strategy and a major endorsement of the Pico platform. Ricoh’s scale, market presence and infrastructure will bring our technology to a much wider audience across North America.

“The label industry continues to evolve rapidly, with increasing demand for shorter runs, faster turnaround and greater production flexibility. Together, we are exceptionally well positioned to help customers capitalise on these opportunities and accelerate the adoption of digital label printing throughout the region.”

Dantex’s Pico press portfolio includes PicoColour 254 and PicoJet 1200 DRS.

Ricoh will work consultatively with customers to assess application demand, outsourced work, workflow, finishing, automation, capacity and return on investment. This will help printing businesses to understand which Dantex label press is most suitable for them and assess where it fits within their existing production environment. This approach will also enable printers to identify suitable work to bring in-house and develop new applications and revenue streams.

Andrew Vecci (pictured, second from left), Director, Product & Portfolio Management, Ricoh North America, commented, “At Ricoh, we focus on helping customers identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities while building a path to long-term operational success.

“Combining Dantex’s specialist label expertise with Ricoh’s consultative approach characterised by our technology and solutions portfolio, integration capabilities, workflow experience, and support resources, together we can help customers determine how digital label production fits within their overall operation and provide a scalable, productive and commercially focused solution that enables them to expand applications, enhance output and drive profitable and sustainable growth.”
