Global press manufacturer Comexi has used a recent seminar in Jakarta to introduce the region’s flexible packaging printers to electron beam (EB) technology as an option for future-ready, solvent-free flexible packaging production.
The Solvent-free Future for Flexible Packaging event welcomed more than 100 printers and converters from across the region. This included many who operate gravure presses but are considering their options in relation to changing legislations and regulations that are demanding more sustainable packaging production.
As such, one of the main topics was the transition from rotogravure to flexographic printing, with a particular focus on the environmental benefits of EB technology and the capabilities of the Comexi F4 flexo press.
Comexi was joined for the event by industry partners Apex, Energy Services Inc., ExxonMobil. Heaford, tesa, and Wikoff Color.
