Edale is strengthening its position in Latin America following an investment by Colombian packaging business Impreac – Impresos y Acabados in a CartonLine FL5.
The deal, agreed at LOUPE Americas 2026, will see Impreac become a reference site for Edale in Colombia and the wider Latin American market, giving the company a local showcase for its technology as it pursues further opportunities in the region. It also marks an important development in Edale’s relationship with Latin American sales partner Intermarket, which played a significant role in securing the deal.
For family-owned Impreac, based in Funza near Bogotá, the investment will support the next stage of growth for its folding carton business.
Luis Fernando Herrera Salinas, Production Director, Impreac, said, “The FL5 is an investment in the future of our folding carton business. We have ambitions to develop the business further, and we wanted a platform that could grow with us and respond to changing customer requirements. Our decision was also about the partnership behind the technology. We have built a strong relationship with Edale through this process, and becoming a reference customer in Colombia is something we are very proud of.”
Behind the sale is a developing partnership between Edale and Intermarket. The regional sales partner worked alongside both businesses throughout the negotiations and sales process, with the Impreac investment providing a platform from which the companies can pursue further opportunities in Latin America.
Rob Brown, Sales and Marketing Director, Edale, said, “The significance of this project goes beyond the installation of one machine. Impreac has clear ambitions, and as a reference customer in Colombia, it gives us the opportunity to demonstrate Edale technology in a market where we see significant potential. Intermarket played an important role in bringing the project together, and the relationship we have developed through the Impreac deal gives us a stronger foundation from which to build our presence in Latin America.”
