Grenadier Trenton expands folding carton capacity with Heiber + Schröder tray former

Grenadier Packaging has completed the installation of a new Heiber + Schröder CE 1000-2 Tray Former at its Grenadier Trenton operation, increasing production capacity and flexibility for folding carton packaging.

The new machine is expected to provide additional output, shorter job changeovers and reduced downtime, while expanding the range of cartonboard trays the business can manufacture. The investment forms part of Grenadier Packaging’s ongoing programme to develop its production capabilities and respond to changing customer requirements.

“Packaging is changing quickly, and we want to stay one step ahead to ensure we continue to add value to customer projects,” said Ross Diamond, Managing Director, Grenadier Packaging. “The addition of the Heiber + Schröder machine is just the latest demonstration of that. It greatly expands our folding carton offer, strengthening our ability to meet customer needs while also boosting quality and speed.”

The installation follows the appointment of James Slack as General Manager of Grenadier Trenton earlier this year. Slack brings more than 25 years of experience in the print and packaging industry.

“Investments like this are all about putting our customers first,” said Slack. “We know it’s a challenging market, and we also know how important reliable suppliers are in times like these. We are committed to being that supplier for any company that depends on cartonboard packaging.”
