On 1 September 2026, the EU Commission received notification of a proposed move by M&G Investment Management Ltd and Arini Capital Management Ltd for the proposed takeover of Reno de Medici S.p.A., which is controlled by Apollo Management, L.P.
M&G and Arini are positioning to take joint control of Reno de Medici, by purchasing shares.
On preliminary examination, the EU Commission finds that the notified transaction could fall within the scope of the Merger Regulation. However, the final decision on this point is reserved.
