Carlton Packaging has confirmed that its greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The approval provides independent validation that the company’s targets have been developed in line with climate science and forms part of Carlton’s strategy to reduce its carbon footprint. Carlton said it will focus on improving the environmental performance of its products while continuing to reduce emissions across its own operations and wider value chain.
The company said the validation provides a measurable framework for its ongoing efforts to transition towards lower-carbon operations.
