Amtech Software is set to help UK independent sheet plants identify and quantify the operating costs hidden in manual scheduling, repeated data entry, spreadsheet workarounds, material waste, overtime and inefficient despatch when it exhibits at the UK Corrugated Industry Trade Show 2026 (stand 47), taking place 6-7 October at the Telford International Centre.
Visitors can test their own operating figures against a UK-reviewed value model indicating more than £710,000 in potential annual cost reduction and nearly 4,000 staff hours that could be reclaimed for a representative £25m plant. The exercise is designed to show where a plant is already performing strongly, where its highest cost and productivity opportunities may lie, and which operational changes could deliver the greatest impact.
“Most plants don’t have a line on the P&L for re-keying data, chasing the latest schedule or keeping spreadsheets up to date. Perhaps they should, because they pay for those hidden costs every day.
