Sonoco Products Company has confirmed that appointment of Francesco Giannolo as Vice President and General Manager of Sonoco Consumer Packaging, EMEA, reporting directly to Ernest Haynes, President of Sonoco Global Consumer Packaging.
Giannolo joined Sonoco in 2019 and most recently served as Vice President of Commercial for the company’s Consumer Packaging EMEA/APAC business. In 2022, he was appointed Vice President and General Manager of Sonoco’s Rigid Paper Containers business in EMEA and has also held a number of sales leadership positions.
“As we align our global Consumer Packaging businesses, it is critical that we have a strong, experienced leader in the EMEA region,” said Ernest Haynes. “Francesco is that leader. We look forward to even greater focus on innovation, productivity and customer service.”
The appointment follows Sonoco’s recent move to align its Global Consumer Packaging businesses under a single integrated leadership structure led by Haynes.
