VPK Group invests €4m in new facility in Salonta, Romania

VPK Group has announced a major expansion of its operational capabilities in Central and Eastern Europe with a €4m investment in a brand-new manufacturing facility in Salonta, Bihor County. Covering nearly 6,000 sqm, the purpose-built site will significantly enhance the production capacity, technological sophistication, and regional service reach for both VPK Packaging Romania and Corex Romania.

The strategic investment responds directly to growing market demand across Romania, Hungary, and neighbouring European logistics corridors for sustainable, high-performance corrugated packaging, cardboard tubes, cores, and edge protectors.

Constructed to modern industrial standards, the new site will integrate advanced converting lines and optimised operational workflows. By consolidating high-efficiency packaging manufacturing under one roof, the investment delivers key strategic advantages.

“This €4m investment in Salonta marks a significant step forward in VPK Group’s commitment to Eastern Europe. By deploying modern production infrastructure, we are extending our ability to deliver high-quality, circular paper packaging solutions that help our regional customers grow sustainably,” said the company on LinkedIn.
