Hybrid Software has confirmed the released PACKZ 12, the latest version of its PDF editor for packaging prepress, introducing an AI-powered assistant alongside new support for Amazon Transparency codes.

The multilingual AI assistant provides context-aware guidance for PACKZ tools and workflows, helping users navigate the software, automate routine tasks and generate Action Lists, print marks and scripting code.
The latest release also expands support for product authentication by enabling the creation of Amazon Transparency codes. Integrated with Hybrid Software’s Artflow and CLOUDFLOW platforms, PACKZ 12 forms part of an end-to-end workflow covering code retrieval, artwork approval, barcode generation and print production. The system also supports the industry’s transition towards GS1 Sunrise 2027 through the use of data-rich 2D barcodes.
“Additional updates include enhanced Packzimizer capabilities for optimising stacked label layouts, improvements to PACKZ Max quality control for transparent artwork, and support for HELL Gravure Job Tickets to improve connectivity between prepress and engraving,” said the company. “The new AI functionality is designed to make advanced software features easier to access while helping packaging prepress teams automate repetitive tasks and improve workflow efficiency.”
