FIA UK launches enhanced Academy to support skills development across the flexographic industry

The Flexographic Industry Association UK (FIA UK) has launched an enhanced FIA UK Academy, expanding its training offering to help professionals and businesses develop the skills needed to meet the changing demands of the packaging and flexographic print industry.

As the sector continues to evolve through advances in automation, artificial intelligence, digitalisation, sustainability requirements and changing customer expectations, the Academy has been updated to provide practical, relevant and industry-focused learning for people at every stage of their careers.

Designed for newcomers to the industry, experienced professionals and employers looking to invest in workforce development, the FIA UK Academy brings together expert knowledge from across the packaging and print supply chain.

The enhanced programme includes training in core flexographic and packaging principles, sustainability and regulatory developments, emerging technologies, AI, practical technical expertise and wider professional development.

“The Academy has been developed to equip individuals and businesses with the knowledge and skills required to remain competitive in a rapidly changing industry, while helping to attract and develop the next generation of talent,” said the FIA in a statement. “The Association believes continued investment in education and professional development will play a key role in supporting innovation, improving productivity and strengthening the long-term future of the UK flexographic and packaging sectors.”

The enhanced FIA UK Academy is now available, with further training programmes and learning opportunities expected to be introduced as industry needs continue to evolve.
