Canpac Group has acquired Ahmedabad-based folding carton and rigid box packaging manufacturer Krishna Creation, strengthening its presence in India’s premium packaging segment.
As part of the transaction, Canpac and Krishna Creation will establish a new greenfield plant in Ahmedabad, which will become Canpac’s third facility in the city and 10th plant in India. Scheduled to be operational in September 2026, the facility will include a new KBA 106-7 colour coater with UV capabilities, alongside an existing Komori six-colour UV press and post-press equipment for rigid paper packaging, folding cartons and gift bags.
The transaction marks Canpac’s fifth acquisition. The company said it has achieved a 25% CAGR over the past 15 years while expanding its operations across India.
“This partnership brings together Canpac’s operational scale with Krishna Creation’s design and finishing expertise. This is a step towards the premium and luxury segment of packaging in India,” said Sagar Makhija, M&A Head, Canpac Trends.
Following the acquisition, the two teams will work together to combine Canpac’s manufacturing scale and process capabilities with Krishna Creation’s design and finishing expertise.
