MM Packaging Deeside has appointed Dave Whitworth as its new Managing Director. Whitworth was previously Operations Director and his appointment provides the business with continuity and stability as it continues to drive for growth.
During his time at MM Packaging, Whitworth has led a number of initiatives, placing health and safety at the centre of operations, reflected in the site’s strong safety record. He also played a key role in developing the current Deeside facility and overseeing the move from the previous site.
One of the company’s major success stories has been its apprenticeship scheme. Whitworth was instrumental in its launch and remains committed to giving talented individuals the opportunity to forge a clear career path in the packaging industry.
Supported by the BPIF, MM Packaging offers a three-year apprenticeship in manufacturing. Last year, the business welcomed seven new apprentices to the business, underlying its commitment to training and development, with the intake working in manufacturing, purchasing, design and origination.
