UK-based Postpack, a premier specialist in short-to-medium run bespoke packaging, has confirmed the successful installation of a GTS Boxstar 1800 Mini at its site in Grantham.
The installation, completed in March 2026, marks a strategic upgrade for Postpack as they continue to meet the rising demand for high-speed, on-demand bespoke packaging without the overheads of traditional manufacturing.
Prior to the installation, Postpack faced significant operational challenges common in the bespoke packaging sector. Large-format tooling costs often reached hundreds of pounds per job, with the added difficulty of storing and handling heavy physical dies. Furthermore, the requirement for small-run samples often had to be outsourced, leading to increased costs and slower turnaround times for their customers.
The Boxstar 1800 Mini was selected for its ability to eliminate these bottlenecks. Equipped with vibrating cutting knives and an inline PVA glue system, the machine operates like a CAD system, cutting any shape, interlock, or curve with high precision — entirely without the need for physical tooling.
Postpack is no stranger to GTS Europe’s technology, already operating a 2508 Boxstar and a Solarco machine. The addition of the 1800 Mini further strengthens their capacity to handle highly complex, bespoke orders with zero lead time on tooling.
“The ability to offer our customers high-precision, bespoke shapes without the cost and delay of traditional tooling is a game-changer,” says Mark Reid, Managing Director, Postpack. “The 1800 Mini allows us to be more agile, providing samples instantly and fulfilling complex orders that were previously difficult to manage.”
Arran Sethi, Sales Machinery Consultant, GTS Europe Ltd, added, “We are delighted to continue our long-standing relationship with Postpack. The 1800 Mini is the perfect fit for their ‘on-demand’ model. By removing the ‘headache’ of tooling and outsourcing, they can focus on what they do best—delivering high-quality, bespoke packaging at lightning speed.”
