RDM Group has achieved ISCC PLUS certification, reinforcing its commitment to circular economy principles and sustainable packaging solutions. The certification, obtained for the Group’s Swedish mill Fiskeby, enables offering the packaging board made using polymer coating from advanced recycling sources.
The ISCC PLUS certification confirms compliance with an internationally recognised sustainability and traceability scheme, ensuring transparent and third-party verified tracking of circular feedstocks throughout the entire value chain, in line with best practices adopted by leading global packaging and materials companies.
This is a major milestone in RDM Group’s efforts to actively advance innovative barrier and functional cartonboard solutions that combine best‑in‑class circularity, reduced product carbon footprint, and full alignment to forthcoming EU regulatory frameworks; notably PPWR and the evolving Green Claims regulatory landscape. It also further establishes RDM Group as a pioneer in the recycled cartonboard sector, as one of the early adopters of theISCC PLUS certification.
“Achieving ISCC PLUS certification is a key step in our journey toward a fully circular production model,” said Krzysztof Krajewski, Chief Sustainability and Innovation Officer, RDM Group. “It not only guarantees transparent, third-party verified tracking of recycled content but also strengthens our ability to provide customers with innovative packaging solutions that meet the highest sustainability standards.”
The certification supports the gradual ramp-up of innovative recycling technologies without compromising product quality, food safety, supply security or manufacturing efficiency. This approach is widely recognised across the packaging and chemical industries as a critical enabler of circular economy development and carbon footprint reduction.
