Zerheusen Kartonagen in Germany has confirmed it has successfully put into operation its new automated paper roll warehouse (APL).
At the same time, the company were able to complete other key construction and infrastructure measures. These include the new goods receiving hall and the transport bridge to the corrugator for the paper rolls, which will ensure smooth and efficient material flows in the future.
The entire office wing of the automatic paper roll warehouse, which offers modern working conditions, has also been completed: new offices, spacious break and social rooms, a large meeting room and modern sanitary facilities create a contemporary, pleasant working environment for employees.
The new APL has a maximum storage capacity of 13,600 tonnes of corrugated base paper and makes a decisive contribution to optimising the comapny’s logistics, process reliability and future viability.
