Komori host ‘Copilot Utilization Idea Contest’

Since May 2025, Komori has been conducting a trial introduction of Microsoft Copilot. As part of this initiative, the company has promoted AI utilisation among employees through online seminars, consultation sessions, and a dedicated support website. To date, a total of 397 participants have attended the seven online seminars.

To evaluate the outcomes of this trial implementation and related promotional activities, Komori organised the Copilot Utilization Idea Contest.

The contest featured presentations on practical examples of Copilot usage, the resulting benefits, and future possibilities. Sixteen proposals that passed departmental preliminary screenings were evaluated based on novelty, practicality, and effectiveness, and outstanding ideas were recognised.

The Grand Prize was awarded to the Brand Communication Department for its initiative titled, “Optimising Promotional Content Production and Strengthening Brand Value with Copilot.”

The Brand Communication Department utilised Copilot to address time and cost challenges in promotional content production. By generating copy aligned with the tone of existing catalogs and creating demo visuals that convey realistic usage scenarios for customers, the department significantly streamlined its production workflow. In addition, Copilot’s code generation capabilities enabled team members without programming expertise to develop more interactive landing pages.

The following two departments received Excellence Awards:

  • Procurement Department
  • Electrical Equipment Development Department

During the event, President Mochida, serving as head of the judging panel, commented, “By sharing AI-related knowledge and ideas as we did today, we create opportunities for learning. Every idea presented today was of such high quality that all of them were deserving of recognition.”
