Giacomo Bettini, Senior Sales Representative, MHI EMEA, has confirmed that in November, the company started-up a complete NGC corrugator at Penha’s factory in Itapira, Brazil. This is the first NGC corrugator to be installed anywhere in South America.
The new NGC line, which is a 2.5m singlewall model, is capable of producing board at 400 m/min, having a splicing speed of 584 m/min. The new line is equipped with MHI’s gapless order change system, and with all the units capable to stably operate at 400 m/min.
“The installation went well and to schedule, thanks to joint efforts of MHI’s and Penha’s installation teams,” confirmed Bettini. “The senior management team at Penha were very satisfied with the installation and impressed with the very good quality of the board produced straight after startup. We were also able to run the NGC line at full speed within a short time frame, keeping the same high quality board production, which the senior management team were also impressed with.”
