Flint Group is accelerating progress against its environmental goals as the company’s 2024 Sustainability Report reveals that it has cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than a third since 2019.
The report, which covers the period from 1 January to 31 December 2024, details significant gains against Flint Group’s PRISM framework, which is centred on Product, Planet, and People.
The report shows Flint Group has made a 34% reduction in total greenhouse gas emissions against its 2019 baseline, marking steady progress towards its 46.2% reduction target by 2030. This includes a 31% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
The company has also achieved a 24% reduction in total electricity consumption vs its 2022 benchmark, 23% of which now comes from renewable sources, while water consumption is 24% lower than in 2022 with the initial 5% reduction target already achieved.
Pepyn Dinandt, CEO, Flint Group, said, “Our 2024 Sustainability Report highlights Flint Group’s unwavering commitment to a more responsible future – not just for ourselves, but for our customers and communities as well. The results make it clear: when innovation leads, sustainability and performance can go hand in hand. Through our PRISM framework, we’re delivering measurable impact that supports circularity, drives transparency, and contributes to a healthier planet. And with the strength of our innovation teams, we’re developing packaging solutions that truly advance circularity and environmental responsibility.”
Notably, 2024 saw the company’s commitment to transparency and continuous improvement independently recognised through multiple sustainability assessments, including a Gold Rating from EcoVadis and approval of its greenhouse gas reduction targets from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Flint Group also achieved strong results in the CDP indices, with a B rating for Climate Change and Water Security and an A- for Supplier Engagement.
Flint Group continued to advance product and service innovation, with a strong focus on enabling circularity in packaging. The company launched ink and coating developments that reflect their commitment. In parallel, Flint Group’s 360°ServiceCode platform delivered measurable operational benefits, helping printers reduce waste, cut emissions, and optimise performance through efficiency-focused, cost-saving solutions. In 2024, these initiatives collectively helped customers save over 650 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
