AkeBoose retrofits FFG with NOVA TK chamber doctor blade systems

AkeBoose has recently completed the retrofit of a 4-colour flexo folder gluer at a major European corrugated packaging producer. The project included installing four NOVA TK chamber doctor blade systems on a Latitude P-1225 STK line.

The upgrade was carried out to modernise the plant’s ink metering equipment and improve long-term handling and serviceability of the print units. The NOVA TK system was selected for its durable construction, low ink waste, and simplified maintenance.

Key features of the NOVA TK chamber setup include:

  • Anti-bouncing suspension for stable, reliable print results;
  • Integrated service position for faster and more ergonomic handling on press;
  • All-in-one chamber profile without moving parts, enabling easy cleaning and reduced ink waste.

These design elements help support shorter setup procedures, cleaner print stations, and a generally more streamlined daily operation on the FFG line.

“Our objective was to bring modern chamber technology to an established machine platform while keeping the process straightforward for the operators,” said Dirk Lüdken, Head of Sales EMEA, AkeBoose. “The NOVA TK system provides a robust and low-maintenance solution that fits well with the customer’s production needs.”
