Giacomo Bettini, Senior Sales representative, MHI EMEA, has confirmed the company has confirmed a sale agreement for a 67N slitter scorer unit for an existing corrugator at Cartonajes Vallés Gasset SA, located in Lleida, Catalunya, Spain. This new slitter-scorer will be shipped from Japan by the end of June 2026 and is scheduled to be installed and started-up by September 2026 at the latest.
“This is a great order for us, as the customer is adding MHI units to an existing non-MHI corrugated,” says Bettini. “They have already installed two 60H Single Facers and a 65J Glue Machine; with this order they are now about to add a 67N slitter scorer as well.”
Mitsubishi’s 67N slitter scorer offers a clean slitting system, thanks to the use of thin blades that ensure a sharp slitting process. The unit also features a paper dust vacuum removal device on each knife, to eliminate paper dust from the finished sheets.
Cartonajes Vallés Gasset has confirmed it plans further replacement of dry-end units as well. “We will continue working with the customer to replace the rest of the dry-end units with the latest MHI model N units,” adds Bettini. “Once the whole project is completed, Cartonajes Vallés Gasset will be able to enhance board quality and reliability of the machines further, thanks to the reliability of MHI machines.
