Francisco Donoso Lafuente, Managing Director, DOLAF Servicios Verdes, has confirmed the launch of a new auction site for bidding on recovered fibre, called GARP.
GARP – Global Auction for Recovered Paper – is a new project being launched in December. With a global target audience, it is believed to be one of the first such platforms for bidders to confidentially acquire recovered fibre securely, online. Batches are listed with photos/videos (no prior catalog needed). Anti-sniping extends the auction to prevent last-second bids. In addition, the site ensures the highest quality standards; all lots must follow UNE-EN 643 (Europe) or I-APA (rest of world). Inspection prior to or during loading is always allowed.
“This new site can help make big changes in our current ways of trading,” explains Donoso. “We will be hosting weekly 30-minute auctions, with lots all being listed with images and videos so bidders can satisfy themselves with the quality of the baled recovered fibre.”
